On Monday, October 29, the Oregon Health Authority returned to Unity Center for Behavioral Health to conduct its revisit survey. The OHA exited Unity Center on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
We are expecting formal notification from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services within the next 5-10 business days. Overall, the OHA surveyors indicated they have seen significant improvements and that Unity has made traction in the implementation of the plan of correction.
The safety and well-being of patients and staff at Unity Center is our number one priority and we remain 100% committed to the work underway to improve Unity’s procedures, policies and practices.
Unity Center staff and leadership remain dedicated to the long-term success of the hospital and we will not rest in our mission to serve those in need of emergency psychiatric care as we continue to seek opportunities to improve the safety and environment of care for all patients and staff.
